I am still wondering that question. How did I get here? What do I have to say? Do I know anything about anything?
So How Did I Get Here?
You all know I love and need to travel. It’s in my blood. I need it like I need sunshine! But I also need to eat gluten free and that requires A LOT of planning. I think if I ever kept track of how long I spend planning exactly what and where we are going to eat on our travels, I might pass out. People would think I am crazy, and tell me of better ways I should be spending my time. But do you know what? This is what I love to do. And we are all willing to sacrifice something to be able to do what we love. So I plan and plan, and I read and I read. And it turns out I read a lot of blogs from gluten free people like us. They are super helpful and have been vital to my travel planning.
One day I was talking to another one of my Gluten Free “soul sisters” about all the research I was doing for an upcoming trip and she said, “You should really start a blog like that.” I thought, “Ya, right! What do I have to say about anything? There are so many great blogs out there, is there really room for another one?”
I pondered it for two years!! And then…
I decided to take a leap into the blogging world. After all, it’s not possible for anybody to have traveled to every single spot on this beautiful planet of ours, is it? I hope to someday, but until then, maybe I do have something that I could say to help my fellow gluten free “brothers and sisters” in their hunt for adventure. After all isn’t that why we are here, to help each other out?
I’ve learned so much….from thinking I might starve to death in Las Vegas (food, food everywhere, but an entire convention hotel off the strip with NO gluten free options, WHAT?!?) to dining almost gluttonously in Italy.
Hopefully I can help the next family in their quest to explore the globe and taste all the different local foods without fear of getting sick. Bon Voyage and Buon Appetito!!
